How to Do Self Survey Through AwaasPlus App

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was launched in June 2015, aiming to provide affordable housing to families across the country. Since its inception, many families have been given permanent, pucca houses. However, the process of identifying and selecting eligible beneficiaries often involves a lengthy and detailed procedure, and surveying plays a crucial role in it.

To make this process hassle-free, the government has introduced the AwasPlus mobile app

How to Do Self Survey Through AwaasPlus App

Earlier, surveyors used to come to villages to collect details. But now, you can do the survey yourself from your mobile phone. This saves time, avoids mistakes, and helps the government process your application faster.

What is the AwaasPlus App?

The AwaasPlus App is made for collecting details of people who may get a PMAY-G house. It was updated recently (10 February 2025) and can be used on mobile phones. It asks simple questions about your family, your house, and your income.

The data is checked carefully later, and if you are eligible, you will be included in the list of beneficiaries.

What is PM Awas Yojana-Gramin(PMAY-G)

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) is a government scheme started to give pucca houses to poor families in rural areas. It is run jointly by the Central Government and State Governments, with the central government bearing a larger portion of the cost.

Under this scheme, beneficiaries can build a house of minimum 25 sqm, which will also have a proper cooking space. Along with the house, they will also get one LPG connection under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

The government gives ₹1,20,000 as financial help to eligible beneficiaries. For hilly or remote areas, the amount is ₹1,30,000.
